Dental Hygienist

Job Summary:
The Community Health Center of Niagara (CHCN), located in Niagara Falls, NY, is seeking a dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our mission-driven and well-established health center. As a Dental Hygienist at CHCN, you will provide direct patient care and play a vital role in promoting dental hygiene and overall oral health. - Provide direct patient care, including prophylaxis, examinations, topical fluoride applications, dental sealants, scaling, root planning, and other patient services as permitted under state law.
- Develop and expose radiographs.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and health.
- Clean and disinfect dental operatories.
- Sterilize dental instruments.
- Assist with inventory of dental supplies.
- Perform clerical duties such as answering phones and making appointments.
- Work independently and maintain personal integrity while effectively collaborating with patients and staff.
- Relate to patients of all ages and backgrounds in a professional manner.
- Continuously refine dental hygiene skills through continuing education courses, literature, etc.
- Participate in and contribute to Quality Improvement and Quality Assurance activities as needed.
- Maintain regular attendance and attend staff meetings as required.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned or requested.

- Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program.
- Valid NYS dental hygiene registration certificate.
- Preferred: One (1) year of experience in a general dental practice setting.
- Preferred: Three (3) years of experience in a community healthcare setting.

Salary: $65,125 - $78,603 depending on experience.
