Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychosocial Services Director to lead our team in providing exceptional mental health support and services to our patients. The Psychosocial Services Director will be responsible for developing and recommending departmental policies and procedures that are in compliance with all Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations. They will also assist in the formulation and implementation of psychosocial service standards, including case management and counseling activities with a special population of patients with multiple risk factors.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral science.
- Five (5) years of counseling and supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.
- Well-organized and exhibits good judgment in difficult situations.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Responsibilities:
- Provide input and direction to Social Workers and Mental Health Counselors as needed.
- Assure encounters and progress notes are completed on each patient as required by regulation and third-party insurance.
- Consult with Social Workers and Mental Health Counselors as needed regarding collaborations with outside community resources for the continuity of patient care.
- Provide input and direction to HIV Pre and Post Test counseling, including HIV/AIDS education, partner notification, safer sex, and HIV treatment.
- Maintain established departmental policies and procedures and a quality assurance program.
- Prepare written documentation as required by the profession and the department.
- Maintain, distribute, analyze, and protect information for required records, reports, and statistics as directed.
- Enhance professional growth and development through conferences, workshops, in-service training, and seminars related to psychosocial services, patient progress and developments, etc., as required.
- Participate in and contribute to Quality Improvement and Quality Assurance activities and functions as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000
