Dental Hygienist

Job Summary:
The Community Health Center of Niagara (CHCN), located in Niagara Falls, NY, is seeking a dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our mission-driven and well-established health center. As a Dental Hygienist at CHCN, you will provide direct patient care and play a vital role in promoting dental hygiene and overall oral health. Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including prophylaxis, examinations, topical fluoride applications, dental sealants, scaling, root planning, and other patient services as permitted under state law.
- Develop and expose radiographs.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and health.
- Clean and disinfect dental operatories.
- Sterilize dental instruments.
- Assist with inventory of dental supplies.
- Perform clerical duties such as answering phones and making appointments.
- Work independently and maintain personal integrity while effectively collaborating with patients and staff.
- Relate to patients of all ages and backgrounds in a professional manner.
- Continuously refine dental hygiene skills through continuing education courses, literature, etc.
- Participate in and contribute to Quality Improvement and Quality Assurance activities as needed.
- Maintain regular attendance and attend staff meetings as required.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program.
- Valid NYS dental hygiene registration certificate.
- Preferred: One (1) year of experience in a general dental practice setting.
- Preferred: Three (3) years of experience in a community healthcare setting.

We offer competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, supplemental insurances, 401k match, tuition assistance, and paid time off. The position also provides eligibility for the National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Program.

Salary: $65,125 - $78,603 depending on experience.
