Practice Manager

Department: Administration
Location: Buffalo, NY

**Job Summary:**
The Practice Manager will play a crucial role in enhancing the overall patient experience by overseeing practice operations, ensuring adherence to protocols, fostering excellent customer service, and supporting the implementation of marketing initiatives. This position involves handling daily staff and patient interactions, as well as training administrative support staff. The Practice Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing policies, procedures, systems, and best practices while working to improve practice performance and efficiency across all CHCB Health Centers.

**Administrative Duties and Responsibilities:**
- Maintain office efficiency by following established guidelines, evaluating effectiveness, and recommending changes as needed.
- Analyze processes to streamline workflow, enhance quality, and improve customer service through performance improvement techniques and quality/quantity standards.
- Assist with the management of EMR systems, including procedure and workflow development, and staff training.
- Collaborate with the Operations Management Team to prepare monthly schedules for providers and ensure adequate coverage.
- Address patient concerns related to customer service and assist with patient discharges when required.
- Manage project goals, KPIs, and schedules, and communicate progress effectively to stakeholders.

**Management Duties and Responsibilities:**
- Resolve administrative and operational issues impacting the patient experience.
- Work with Registration Manager and Assistant Registration Manager to drive employee performance.
- Ensure quality of work performed within the assigned area of responsibility.
- Assist in the implementation of new clinical program initiatives.

**Business Duties and Responsibilities:**
- Utilize financial management principles to set priorities and identify cost-effective approaches.
- Integrate technology efficiently into the workplace to enhance work processes.
- Focus on continuous improvement of workflow processes and procedures.
- Prepare reports on customer service information and maintain necessary documentation and records.
- Ensure regular attendance at meetings and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

**Physical Demands:**
This role requires periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, and stooping. Evening work may be necessary.

**Minimum Qualifications:**
- Associate degree in business administration, Health Administration, or a related field.
- Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology.
- Four (4) years of progressively responsible leadership experience in a medical practice or hospital setting.
- Demonstrated critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional organizational, verbal and written communication, and facilitation skills.
- Computer literacy, proficiency in MS Office, and experience managing a diverse workforce.
- Ability to multitask and handle sensitive/difficult patient and personnel issues.

**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Health Administration, or a related field.
- Six (6) years of progressively responsible leadership experience in a medical practice or hospital setting.
- Experience with eCW (electronic clinical works) is a plus.

Salary: $70,000
