Internal Medicine Physician

**Job Summary:**
Are you a passionate and dedicated internal medicine physician looking to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a supportive community setting? The Community Health Center of Buffalo, Inc. is seeking a compassionate and skilled internal medicine physician to join our established and growing team. As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), we are committed to providing comprehensive, affordable, and accessible healthcare to all, regardless of their ability to pay. The internal medicine physician provides comprehensive primary care services to adult patients and manages acute and chronic medical conditions.The position offers a generous benefits package, paid time off, CME reimbursement, $75k medical student loan repayment eligibility through the National Health Service Corps, malpractice insurance, and more.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Evaluate physical and psycho-social health status of adult patients via medical history and physical examination.
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions within the internal medicine specialty.
  • Manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, and other adult health conditions.
  • Interpret diagnostic tests, consultations, and recommend therapeutic measures.
  • Provide patient education and preventive healthcare to adult patients.
  • Offer clinical direction to healthcare team members.
  • Adhere to clinical policies, infection control principles, and confidentiality standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Direct and evaluate medical students, as applicable.

**Qualifications:**

  • Medical license registration certificate for the state of New York.
  • DEA license registration certificate for the state of New York.
  • Completion of an accredited internal medicine residency program.
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Word and Outlook.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • American Board Certification in Internal Medicine.
  • Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification.
  • CFP Authorization Number under NYS Worker’s Compensation.
  • Hospital Privileges.
  • Professional Membership Affiliations.

**Physical Demands:**
This role requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, and stooping. Evening work along with some Saturdays may be required.

**Salary Range:**
$190,000 - $200,000
